FAQs

What battery is compatible with 3Chi Delta 8 THC Vapes?

Our Delta 8 THC vape cartridges are compatible with any 510-threaded battery. You will need to have a 510 compatible battery in order to use effectively use any vape product. Batteries are not included with our vapes and must be purchased separately.

How do I prevent my vape cartridge from clogging?

Clogging commonly occurs when oil seeps past the coil or when excess vapor cools and then condenses along the walls of the inner cartridge. When enough oil ends up in the airway between the coil and the exit of the mouthpiece, the buildup can block the ability to draw air through the mouthpiece. This can often be prevented by taking short, light hits and not overheating your oil.

Why does my cartridge taste burnt?

It’s important to make sure your vape cartridge is fully primed before use in order to prevent burning your coil and creating a bad taste while vaping. The first thing you should do is identify that the 4 intake holes at the base of the cartridge are fully covered by oil. If they aren’t then you will need to wait until they are covered before you attempt to use the cartridge.

If the holes are covered, use a short 1-2 second preheat and take a short hit to test if you get vapor. If yes, continue to use as the coil is primed.

If you aren’t getting vapor or if the intake holes aren’t covered you will need to either wait until the holes are covered by storing the cartridge upright and waiting for the oil to fall and saturate the coil. Note this can take over 24 hours due to the thickness of the oil. A way to accelerate the process is by heating the bottom half of the cartridge with a hairdryer for ~60 seconds or until oil has fully covered the intake holes. This can also be done by putting the cartridge in a plastic bag and using a tool to submerge the bag in hot water while keeping the cartridge vertical.

Once intake holes are covered, attempt to hit your cartridge. If you still cannot produce vapor, repeat the reheat process.

What is Delta 8 THC?

A “Frequently Asked Questions” response just isn’t enough, so we’ve dedicated an entire section to breaking down delta 8 and its place in the world of the cannabinoids. If you’re looking for a tasty treat, check out our Delta 8 Gummies.

What is CBD?

CBD, or cannabidiol, is a compound in the cannabis plant with proven therapeutic benefits. It does not get you high, but it has been shown to be effective in treating a wide range of ailments, and there are currently numerous government-backed studies being conducted on its many uses. CBD can be paired with other parts of the cannabis plant to enhance or change its effects. That is often why you will see terpenes or other cannabinoids in our oils.

What are terpenes?

Terpenes exist in almost every plant and fruit. They are aromatic oils that exist to lure pollinators and repel predators. Often, your favorite cannabis strains are defined by their terpene flavor profile. Cannabis terpenes actually come from the same glands that create the cannabinoids, and it is thought that they play a role in differentiating the effects of each strain.

Why are there terpenes and minor cannabinoids in my CBD and delta 8 products?

Our CBD and delta 8 products benefit from what is known as the “Entourage or Ensemble effect.” This dictates that each cannabinoid grows more potent when other compounds from the cannabis plant are present. In short, the effects are magnified. Terpenes and the other cannabinoids help make CBD and delta 8 far more effective than they would be on their own, which results in more effective treatment.

What is MCT and why is it in my product?

3Chi’s MCT (medium-chain triglycerides) is a coconut-derived carrier oil. A carrier oil is any plant-based oil that helps “carry” the cannabis compounds into your body by diluting them into a more easily digestible state.

How do I take a tincture?

Tinctures are intended to be taken under the tongue, but they can also be applied to the skin in small amounts. Note they will not enter the bloodstream if applied to the skin.

When using orally, place desired amount under your tongue and hold them in place for 90 seconds before swallowing.

Why do I need to enter my age at checkout?

All vape cartridge purchases require age verification for retail customers only. Please follow the Age Verification step-by-step instructions at checkout. Some purchases may require proof of photo identification. For all questions regarding this, please contact our support team here.

Why do I need to sign for a vape cartridge delivery?

The US Government recently passed a piece of legislation known as the PACT Act. This new law additional requirements to the shipping of vape and tobacco products. 3Chi is complying fully with all new requirements from this and one of those requirements is that vape deliveries must be signed for upon delivery.

Do you offer free shipping?

Yes, if you order more than $99 worth of product, 3Chi will make your shipping free. USPS does not require signatures for packages that do not contain vape cartridges.

Do you offer cold shipping?

Yes, 3Chi offers seasonal cold shipping. Cold shipping requires the use of UPS Standard Overnight Shipping. Cold shipping is not available for purchases that include vape cartridges. Our edibles are not heat resistant in warmer temperatures. If you do not select cold shipping, your edibles are at a higher risk of melting while in transit.

What is Excise Tax?

All vape products (also known as Electronic Nicotine Delivery Systems or ENDS) are subject to a special tax as a result of the PACT Act’s (Prevent All Cigarette Trafficking Act of 2009) 2021 amendment to the Jenkins Act. This act revises provisions governing the collections of taxes on, and trafficking in, cigarettes and smokeless tobacco. ENDS are now defined by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) as “any electronic device that, through an aerosolized solution, delivers nicotine, flavor, or any other substance to the user inhaling from the device.”
